san jose museum of modern art pop-up exhibit

Winning design for an invited competition.  Pop-up art installation at the San Jose Museum of Art.  An everyday object (a paperclip) is used to define space.  The piece is a supporting element for the current exhibit showcasing the everyday items we use and the hidden designers behind them.

A sixty-foot wide wall graphic invites visitors to part the suspended paperclip chains.  The graphic is a composition of imagery of the history of the humble paperclip and it's numerous designers throughout the ages.
