1976 Garcia Mitchell 400
I just love the egg-shaped mid-century feel of this piece. When I found it buried in the bottom of my father's fishing bucket, it was stuck fast and the insides clogged with fishing reel. Upon disassembly I was amazed to find an intricate yet simple mechanical volley of brass gears in great condition with no broken teeth or stripped screws.
Once all the foreign contaminants were removed, the gears greased and slides lubed, the unit was properly reassembled. The reel has a buttery smooth operation. The handle and spindle are bakelite.
